FNB appoints Linda Kachingwe-Sisya as new CMO

First National Bank (FNB) has named Linda Kachingwe-Sisya as its new chief marketing officer, taking over from Faye Mfikwe following her notable 19-year tenure with the financial institution.

In her new role, Kachingwe-Sisya will oversee FNB’s brand strategy, marketing and corporate affairs as the bank enters its next growth phase.

Her core responsibilities will be on consolidating the lender’s market presence, driving customer engagement and ensuring the brand adapts to the evolving needs of its retail and business consumers.

An experienced marketing executive with a background spanning fast-moving consumer goods and financial services, Kachingwe-Sisya steps into the role from the group’s Broader Africa and International division.

In that capacity, she managed marketing and communications across the African continent as well as major international hubs including the UK, US, India, and China.

FNB CEO Lytania Johnson said the internal appointment highlights the bank’s deep talent pool and its focus on operational continuity.

“Linda brings extensive experience, strategic insight and a deep understanding of the role brands play in building lasting relationships. Having successfully led marketing across our Africa and International franchise, she understands the opportunities and expectations shaping customers in a rapidly changing environment.”

Commenting on her appointment, Kachingwe-Sisya said her near-term focus will centre on building upon the existing corporate foundations established by the bank’s marketing and corporate affairs teams.
