Claire Mack, who announced her departure from Scottish Renewables in April, has a new job with energy company SSE.
Ms Mack has been appointed director of corporate affairs with SSE and SSEN Transmission from September.
She spent nine years as CEO at Scottish Renewables with her tenure coinciding with a significant shift in energy policy towards the sector. In 2025 she was a recipient of the OBE for services to the economy and business.
At SSE/SSEN she will be at the forefront of discussions with the political establishment on the development of the infrastructure she has promoted at SR.
“Continuing to work and advocate for a sector that I love is incredible,” she said in a social media post, adding that it “feels like a very natural next step in delivering energy and securing Scotland’s role in the future energy system.”
