Nvidia Corp. Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang said its new Vera central processing units will use SK Hynix Inc.\u2019s memory chips as the two companies prepare to do more business in the coming year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a very big year this year with SK Hynix, and we are preparing for a very, very large second half of the year and next year,\u201d Huang told reporters outside a Seoul restaurant on Sunday where he had dinner with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-Jung and executives from SK Telecom Co. \u201cWe introduced Vera CPU, which is a revolutionary CPU, and it will also use SK Hynix\u2019s DRAM.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Vera is Nvidia\u2019s first standalone data center microprocessor that goes head to head with Intel Corp.\u2019s Xeon line, Advanced Micro Devices Inc.\u2019s Epyc chips and in-house programs at large-scale operators such as Amazon.com Inc.\u2019s Graviton.<\/p>\n

Huang arrived in South Korea on Friday to visit his partners and suppliers and is scheduled to meet Samsung Electronics Co. Vice Chairman Jun Young-hyun, as well as the heads of [hotlink]Hyundai Motor[\/hotlink] Group and LG Group among other business leaders on Monday.<\/p>\n

Huang also said he\u2019s having discussions with telecommunication companies because telco networks will be used for AI in the future.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
