Ministers told businesses to wait for the Gill review, but clearly had no Plan B if its chair departed for a new opportunity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWeeks have now passed since BJ Gill was made Scotland\u2019s new Solicitor General, but still nobody has been put in place to replace him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cScottish Conservative research also reveals the review group hasn\u2019t met in two months \u2013 and has no plans to do so. A report was meant to be submitted to ministers next month, but this is surely now not going to happen given the review has no leader.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis shambolic situation sums up the SNP\u2019s utter contempt for Scotland\u2019s businesses and is exactly why they have lost faith in the system.
